Amazing graphic reconstruction of New York emergency landing

This amazing animated reconstruction of the emergency landing in the Hudson River in New York. The animation is overlaid with the actual radio traffic between the plane and air traffic control. What a hero this pilot was. You will not be able to just watch this once.

Amazing Surf footage of Mike Parsons

In my opinion this is one of the most brilliantly filmed pieces of big wave surfing ever made. Filmed from a helicopter, the close up of surfer Mike Parsons being towed into this wave and then slowly panning out to reveal the size of the wave in the context of the size of the surfer is masterful cinematography. The ride itself is amazing as Parsons actually gets tubed on this 64ft monster, you think the wave has claimed him and he comes out of the whitewater. On the same day he had taken a massive wipeout on an earlier wave and came back to take this wave. The footage is from a Billabong surf documentary of a big wave contest.

Robert Ballard - ocean explorer

This is an inspiring and at times jaw dropping talk from the one of the worlds leading ocean explorers. Among his many acheivements he was the guy that found the Titanic. The ocean covers 72% of the planet yet is relatively unexplored. The facts he presents will amaze you. Please take the time to view this.

Just when you think you have seen it all

The resourcefulness of the human race will never cease to amaze me. You would expect this guy to be a giant strong man to carry this many bricks, but to throw them above his head, then balance them and walk out of a boat - amazing. I can only assume he is getting paid per brick not per load. I am not making any judgement on this guys life situation, just his incredible abilities. Check this out.

Our future is exciting

This brilliant piece of visual communication has many WOW moments in it. I am a huge fan of this form of media and its ability to communicate effectively. The message in this video is quite clear. To me this amazing video is as much about brilliant creative minds being able to communicate an important message effectively as it is about the message itself. You can have every intention to try and make the world a better place but if you cannot communicate it, it makes your intentions difficult.
